The Unity Simchas Beis Hashoeva in Thornhill, Ontario, is an annual celebration that brings together thousands from across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond for an unforgettable night of joy, music, and Jewish unity. Rooted in the Baal Shem Tov’s teaching that “the entire Torah is founded on loving your fellow as yourself,” this event embodies the spirit of achdus—brotherhood and togetherness.
Since its inception, the event has united Jews of all backgrounds in a shared expression of joy during Sukkot, a time our Sages described as the pinnacle of happiness. With performances by renowned artists such as Avraham Fried, Joey Newcomb, and the 8th Day Band, the celebration features live music, dancing, and family-friendly programming, all offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of community donors, organizations, and local government.
Held in memory of Meir Likhovetski A”H, whose vision inspired this gathering, the Unity Simchas Bais Hashoeva stands as a testament to the enduring power of community, faith, and joy.
